Nowadays there’s a lot of open discussion about vaginal health, so it’s not surprising that feminine procedures like FemiLift are on the rise. FemiLift is a technologically advanced laser device that can be used to tighten the vaginal canal. However, some women are concerned about the possible discomfort with the treatment, so a common question asked is – Do FemiLift laser treatments hurt.
FemiLift vaginal rejuvenation treatments
FemiLift is a minimally invasive vaginal rejuvenation laser treatment. It is a 15 minute outpatient procedure that utilizes fractional CO2 laser technology to tighten the tissues of the vaginal wall.
FemiLift can be used to treat symptoms of vulvovaginal atrophy and vaginal laxity. Patients also report improved lubrication, decreased incontinence, and enhanced sexual sensitivity after FemiLift treatment.
How it works
The FemiLift laser probe is inserted into the vagina, and delivers fractionated energy to the vaginal tissue. The energy penetrates the vaginal wall to a depth of 0.5 millimeters, where it heats and stimulates the cells that produce collagen.
A series of 3 treatments spaced about 4 weeks apart is recommended for optimal results. Patients will see improvements after the first treatment, and this will continue as new collagen forms. There is no post procedure downtime, so patients can resume normal activities immediately after treatment.
Do FemiLift laser treatments hurt?
FemiLift is a non-surgical treatment that requires no anesthesia or incisions, and is virtually painless. Patients report feeling a warm sensationas the thermal energy is delivered to the tissues, but there is no discomfort during or after the procedure.
